Areef, you have grown sooo much!

Watching your child grows everyday and impress you with his/her development definitely the joyous moment in your life. People said when you have your second baby, the feeling is not the same as the first. Not for me!... I love every moment with Areef as much as with Soffyya. Looking forward to watch Areef's achievements in every milestone of his life.

Your baby reaches an exciting milestone around week 10 as he or she begins to respond to his or her name. A sign of recognition may just be a widening of his or her eyes when he or she hears you say his or her name. This development can be exciting, but don't be surprised if it takes many more weeks before his or her response is consistent.

Your baby's eyesight is continuing to improve and he or she is now able to track an object with his or her eyes from one side to directly in front of his or her face. He or she may even continue following it all the way to the other side for a full 180 degrees. He or she is also able to pick your face out of a group by now. When he or she sees you, he or she will fixate on your face, his or her eyes will widen and shine, and he or she may wave his or her arms with excitement.

When your arms need a short break, or when your baby needs a little down-time, try placing your baby in an infant seat or swing. He or she is now strong enough to sit in this semi-reclined position, especially when propped with a small pillow or rolled receiving blanket. However, be sure these objects are not placed near his or her head where he or she could turn his or her face into them and suffocate. While his or her neck and back have grown significantly stronger in the past few weeks, his or her head is still wobbly, so continue to provide support.

Melaka Trip 2006

Here are my new pics from our trip to Melaka and friend's wedding last weekend. This was the first holiday for my Areef. He behaved very well and seemed to enjoy his first trip to Melaka (He slept most of the time). I enjoyed this trip a lot eventhough we missed nasi beriani gam due to flood almost every area in Johor. Had my first mee bandung muar and it tasted good. Hot and spicy but a bit sweet tho. Beside mee bandung stall, there was this fruit stall. I only attracted to its pisang tanduk, my fav banana to make banana fritters. yum yum...

We spend most of our time eating. First ikan bakar, then the next very morning, a friend of hubby brought us to this kampung stall for its lontong. Hubby ordered lontong and roti canai. Love the roti canai every bits. soo sedap it reminds me of roti canai kampung ijok when i was small. now the roti canai doesn't taste that good anymore. The lontong was good too... i ate nasi lemak and hot milo for drink.

Last day in Melaka, we went to downtown and enjoying the historical places. my first beca ride but raining half way.

Overall, this is surely a memorable one. Next trip, no plan yet. How about Cameron Highlands? *wink*wink*

Wat up?

Now my pregnancy is going to 7 months. Not much difference than my first except this time I eat less. In other words, I am a bit choosy. Occassionally, I eat 2 or 3 senduk of nasi. I did not have this problem last time. As long as the doc said my baby is doing fine, I am okay. My last check up, it was 65kg. Let see how much i gain in my next check up which is on 11th August. This year, because of my pregnancy, I missed few company trips and had to cancel our trip to Europe. Saddd... As for my workload, I am glad the 3rd rollout just finished. Rollout 4 is around the corner with less work I heard. With my due date is nearing hopefully I spend less time at work and can get more rest at home. Few events happened for the last few weeks. Some bad and sad news, as well as good news. The best is to received a gift from my beloved hubby. It is very special to me and I will remember this moment my whole life. Thank you my LOVE!

My HP evolution

Yahoooo... hubby bought new hp for me on Thursday. It is Nokia 6125. Just launched a week ago. Good bye my Panasonic X70. It is not that I don't love you anymore but the headache you give me everytime you need a recharge, I cannot take it anymore... I hope you will rest peacefully in the basket on my dressing table. That way, I will always see you and appreciate your service.

Happy Mother's Day, 14th May 2006

Happy mother's day to all mommies out there. May God bless our life with happiness and prosperity.

To my MIL, I love you and appreciate all the love and care you give to me unconditionally. You are my place to share woman's talk and gossips. You are my only mom I have in this world. I love you, Mama...

The whole family celebrated the Day in Marche last nite. Left the house after Maghrib and arrived about 10 minutes later. Dil was the first to reach the reservation counter and had everything in hand. Luckily he booked the place few days ealier. If not, we have to Q about 2 metres to get seating. After they gave the order ticket, one of the girls at the counter gave me and my MIL a pink carnation each. Wahh, I felt soo good, first time I felt appreciated during mothers day. I remember last year was no celebration for me but my MIL. I don't expect my hubby to celebrate this day with me. and I don't really care about this day as my child is only 1 year old but it is really nice when we know someone really appreciate the mothers, who gave birth to all of us to this beautiful world. And I am one of the luckiest women in the world.
I had Mushroom soup, sautee mushroom, salad and shared some mushroom pie with my FIL and my MIL's grilled salmon. I saw a lady brought 3 fresh coconut and would love to order the same. Unfortunately, all finished. I had lemon juice instead. A girl came to me and gave me a red carnation this time. Again, I feel honored.
Soffyya was so excited, dunno why, calling me from far, while I was busy preparing for my salad. I think the whole restaurant can hear her voice despite the usual marche noise. Then my MIL brought her to the play area and again she was so excited and busy playing with other kids and the ballons on the floor. She refused to go home. So my MIL had to carry her to the exit door. Luckily she didn't scream or fight back.
No pictures of last nite celebration since my lil bro in law borrowed the camera for his trip to Europe. He is now in Europe, currently in Paris, enjoying every second of his longgg break from his endless office hours of work. You definitely deserve this vacation, bro...

Not forgetting, to all my friends who sms me to wish Happy Mother's day, thanks a lot. I really really appreciate it and meant a lot to me. Once again, to all mommies, lets enjoy this very special day for us... Happy monther's day!

12 weeks 8 days

How your baby's growing: Your baby is now fully formed, from toothbuds to toenails and measures about the length of your thumb. Her fingers and toes have separated and some of her bones are beginning to harden. Over the next six months your baby's main task will be to grow larger and stronger, fit for survival outside the womb.

My pregnancy this time giving me a hard time. I am having problem with what to eat everyday and I almost faint in the lift last week. Luckily I managed to reach the office sofa before I fell. I sat there for about 15 minutes before walked to my cubicle. For the rest of that day, I went down to the clinic, got mc, and ask my hubby to pick me up. Reached the pillows and booomm, straight to ZZZ. I woke up this morning feeling very fresh and healthier. I got nausea and headache every morning for the past few weeks. Hopefully today is the day I get back to my normal health.

Soffyya's evening walk

Since my lil one can walk, I will find time to bring her out to play with her. We went to OU on Saturday and she got a white balloon from the Eneos Car Exhibition at Level G. So that evening, I brought her out to play with her balloon. She really enjoyed herself throwing and walking with the balloon. All this while, she played pick n throw with Tok Acho's putting golf ball or sometimes she picked Tok Ma's bougainvillea or orchids and crash or tear into pieces.

A bit of free time

Me, Sherie, Hazleen and Saliza
I wanted to post this pic longggg time ago but keep on forgetting. Today while I was doing spring cleaning of my notebook I saw this pic. So immediately I put in my blog. Taken during Tekad last year.

Last 2 weekends, we went to my collegue's wedding reception dinner at Renaissance Hotel. Soffyya couldn't stop walking around and played with other children. She was very happy and enjoying the adventure of walking. Despite my hubby's escape to watch Reds, I enjoyed the event chatting with my collegues. Somehow, the food was not as good as I remembered last time I went. Overall, the event was happening and so much fun as they(the MCs) really bullied the bride n groom on stage. Pic of me n Soffyya at the dinner.
